Safer Merthyr Tydfil aims to enhance the quality of life of residents, visitors and those who work or invest in Merthyr Tydfil and elsewhere in Wales by reducing crime and the fear of crime
The Board of Trustees are responsible for effective governance and setting overall strategic direction for Safer Merthyr Tydfil. Implementation of strategic objectives is delegated to the Chief Executive Officer and Management Team.
SMT is a registered charity and company limited by guarantee. Established in 1997 it has cultivated a reputation of trust and respect through many years of helping the community and local people. We aim to understand the needs of people and the issues that they face in their daily lives, and work hard to help them overcome any challenges in a supportive and nurtured environment.
We work with all sectors of the community, and all backgrounds to provide the best support we possibly can and are grateful to the support we receive from all of our stakeholders.
