Job Title: Volunteer Support Officer
Number of hours: 21 per week
Remuneration: £11,136 pro rata rate (FTE £19,621)
Holiday entitlement: 25 days plus bank holidays (pro rata)
Accountable to: Volunteer Co-ordinator
Location: Cwm Taf (Merthyr Tydfil and Rhondda Cynon Taff)
Contract end: 31st March 2020 – possible extension until 31st March 2021
Project Overview:
Even today in the age of technology, we are still finding that individuals are lonely and isolated and have very small social networks, if at all and are unaware of or are unable to access services or social networks. our mentoring programme will encourage and support individuals 50+ both male and female and accompany them on a journey to make changes and improve their situation, overcoming barriers that will benefit their health and wellbeing and increase independence and resilience becoming more confident to reconnect, recognise their value and contribute in some way to society and their community.
Purpose of the post:
To recruit, train, support and develop volunteers. Manage volunteers and their relationship with those they come into contact with, including service users, internal and external professionals and teams.
