Position(s): Play Therapist
Location: Cwm Taf Morgannwg
Hours: 28 hours per week (Flexibility is required)
Salary: £24,729 p.a.
Contract: Current funding to 31st March 2027, pending review thereafter
SMT is seeking a skilled Play Therapist to join our specialist Children and Young People service, supporting children affected by domestic abuse. violence.
You will hold a postgraduate qualification in Play Therapy and registration with BAPT or PTUK. You will have experience of working therapeutically with children who have experienced trauma, a strong understanding of safeguarding and the impact of domestic abuse, and the ability to work in a sensitive, trauma‑informed, and empowering way.
The post will be subject to suitable employment screening checks which includes eligibility to work in the UK, Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, and a minimum of two previous employment references.

Position(s): 2 x Children & Young People Support Worker
Location: Cwm Taf Morgannwg
Hours: 28 hours per week preferable however other work patterns may be considered (Flexibility is required)
Salary: £19,375 p.a.
Contract: Current funding to 31st March 2027, pending review thereafter
The successful post holders will have demonstrable experience of working directly with children and young people and a strong understanding of safeguarding practice, including the impact that domestic abuse can have on children’s emotional wellbeing and development.
You will be able to work in a trauma‑informed, empowering and child‑centred way, building trusting relationships while promoting safety, resilience and recovery. A relevant qualification at Level 3 or above (or equivalent practical experience) is essential.
