IRIS FEMALE ADVOCATE EDUCATOR
Position: IRIS Female Advocate Educator
Location: Cwm Taf Morgannwg; Bridgend practices
Hours: 33 hours per week (Flexibility is required as evening and occasional weekend work is essential)
Salary: £22,946 per annum
Contract: Initially to 31st March 2022 (funding reviewed annually)
IRIS is a collaboration between primary care and the third sector specialising in domestic violence and abuse (DVA). Core areas of the programme include ongoing training, education and consultancy for the clinical team and administrative staff, care pathways for primary health care practitioners and an enhanced referral pathway to specialist domestic abuse services for patients with experience of DVA.
The successful applicant will have in depth knowledge of the issues facing women who have experienced DVA, with specific knowledge of the effects on health. Possess demonstrable experience of supporting women and children experiencing DVA, including needs and risk assessment. In addition, you must have experience of providing and reviewing training.
A current valid driving licence and the ability to provide a suitable vehicle for work are essential.
This post will be subject to suitable employment screening checks which includes eligibility to work in the UK, Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, and a minimum of two previous employment references.
